Lingyin Temple, with a history of nearly 1,700 years, is the oldest and most famous temple in Hangzhou. Nestled in a serene valley, it is renowned for its beautiful architecture, ancient carvings, and peaceful atmosphere. The temple attracts both worshippers and tourists, offering a glimpse into China’s rich Buddhist heritage and cultural traditions.
Liangzhu is a UNESCO World Heritage Site that showcases the ancient civilization of China with over 5,000 years of history. It is an important archaeological site, particularly known for its evidence of early rice cultivation and advanced urban planning. The site offers valuable insights into the development of ancient Chinese culture, including its social structure and craftsmanship.
The Grand Canal, stretching approximately 1,794 kilometers, is the longest ancient canal in China. It traverses the eastern part of the country, connecting major cities like Beijing and Hangzhou, and played a crucial role in trade and cultural exchange throughout history. As a remarkable feat of engineering, it showcases China’s ingenuity in waterway construction and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
